Automation 4.0 by Siemens in Malta

A delegation of six Consultants from Siemens explained how Industry 4.0 is becoming part of the production reality of every European country and poses important challenges both for those involved in automation and for end users.
Giving practical examples, the speakers explained how Maserati took their production time from 30 to 16 months and how any faults or redundant processes are eliminated very early on in commissioning, ensuring actual commissioning is much more cost-efficient, fault free and completely seamless.
 
Siemens introduced AUTOMATION 4.0 to bring together the real application of the latest technologies and maximise the experience and effectiveness of Digitalisation and how it makes change possible, faster and ensures speed, flexibility, quality, efficiency and security.
 
Siemens also explained how technological forces are transforming the Industry. It is changing the way products come to life. Changing the way products are realised. Changing the way products evolve.
 
Marco Stefanelli – explained “This is not the future, this is done, this is now. It is something you have to take on otherwise you will be left behind. If you don’t, someone else will” Mr Stefanelli explained how Industry 4.0 is increasing the competitiveness of European companies to those in other markets. The other markets have their own version and “it isn’t the biggest - it’s the fastest that will win.”
