ESI has once again been entrusted to execute the BEMS implementation works for the new MAU building at Mater Dei Hospital (MDH). Having already implemented the BEMS on the main building at Mater Dei Hospital, choosing ESI for this new building extension seemed like a natural choice.

 

The solution consists of the design and assembly of a 5mts long Motor Control Panel - D00-CC1, which controls and monitors all the heating, ventilation and air conditioning plant (HVAC) as well as a number of critical systems within the MAU building. These includes Fire smoke dampers, Fire Alarm, Pneumatic tube systems, Elevators, Medical Gases, Aircraft warning lights as well as Electrical energy and Thermal energy meters.

 

ESI will also introduce additional functionalities to the new MAU building; a new Energy monitoring system which allow the users to monitor the quantity of CO2, in tons, being consumed, as well as the amount of energy being saved on the HVAC plant while this is controlled by the BEMS.
